Oliver Bussmann is the Group CIO for UBS AG, based in Zurich. UBS is the biggest bank in Switzerland, operating in more than 50 countries with about 63,500 employees globally, as of 2012. It is considered the world's largest manager of private wealth assets; with over CHF2.2 trillion in invested assets, a leading provider of retail banking and commercial banking services in Switzerland.

Oliver is a global IT executive with 20+ years of influential leadership with UBS, SAP, Allianz, Deutsche Bank & IBM. Known for definitive business strategy, IT excellence and large-scale reinvention, he has been the driving force behind major business process transformations that have delivered cost reductions, efficiency gains, agility and competitive advantage to leading global corporations.

Oliver joined UBS from SAP where he was Global Chief Information Officer since 2009. As the Global CIO & Corporate Officer of SAP AG, he transformed IT into a value and revenue generating global organization. Prior to SAP, he spent nine years at Allianz Group where he held a number of technology roles in various regions and divisions. Before joining Allianz, Oliver worked at both Deutsche Bank and IBM. Oliver brings extensive technology, business and international experience with him. He is widely acknowledged in the sector as a thought leader in emerging information technologies and customer focus. In 2012, he was named European CIO of the year by INSEAD.
